How we check facts

How we check the information on this site

Every rule, fee and deadline on this site comes from an official Qatar source: a law on Al Meezan, a ministry or authority page, or the Single Window. Each page names its sources and the date they were checked. Where official sources disagree, we say so instead of choosing one. Each page is read against its sources before it goes live.

Where our facts come from

Laws and decisions

Read on Al Meezan, the official legal portal, with the article number.

Ministries and authorities

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Interior, the General Tax Authority and others, on their own sites.

The Single Window

For the steps, documents and fees of company services.

Zones and centres

The Qatar Financial Centre, the Qatar Free Zones Authority and QSTP, for their own rules.

We do not use other consultancies’ websites, forums or news reports as a source for a rule. A news report can tell us where to look; the fact goes on the page only once we have read it at the official source.

How each fact is checked

  1. Find the source

The law article or the official page that states the rule.

  2. Read it in full

Including the Arabic text where the law is only in Arabic.

  3. Record it

The claim, the address, the date and what the page says.

  4. Mark its status

Verified, in conflict, or not confirmed.

  5. Publish or hold

Only verified facts go on a page.

When official sources disagree

Sometimes two official pages give different figures, or a ministry page has not caught up with a new law. When that happens, we name both, or we leave the point off the page and tell you to confirm it for your case.

One example: Law No. 1 of 2019 allows up to 100% foreign ownership with approval, while one ministry page still shows 51% as the general rule. Our pages say both and ask a lawyer to confirm.

What we do not publish

Anything we could not read at an official source
Invented figures
No made-up statistics, clients or reviews
Promises
No “guaranteed”, “fastest” or approval claims
Rankings
No comparisons with named firms

Check dates and updates

A date on every page

The sources box shows when the facts were last checked.

Fees re-checked

Within 30 days before a page with fees is published, and again when we update it.

Fast-changing rules

Visa and programme pages say the date the rules were checked.

Regulated work

We describe what we help you prepare; authorities decide every application.

How pages are reviewed

Each page is written from the verified facts. Before the site goes live, our team reads every page against its sources, and a senior member of Noor Group reviews the site before launch. When a rule changes, the page and its check date are updated.

How to report a correction

If you find a rule, fee or date that is wrong or out of date, send us the page, what is wrong and, if you have it, the official source. We check it at the source, correct the page if needed and update its check date.
